Our English bridle leather is made in the U.S. and is the best domestic version of this vegetable tannage that we have seen. These 6/7 oz firm hides are actually tanned and finished for the horse bridle industry. The oak bark tanning process takes a long time and produces a superior leather. This vegetable tanned leather is quite expensive, but worth the difference. The most popular colors are dark brown, medium brown, and black. We also offer chestnut(an orange tint to brown) and tan. All seams are outside with edges sanded, beveled, dyed black, and burnished. All hardware is solid brass.
